Poet Pullkandi Krishna Reddy passes away

Tirupati, Nov 19 (UNI) Renowned poet and former journalist Pullkandi Krishna Reddy died at Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences (SVIMS) after a prolonged illness last night.

He was 75. He is survived by his wife and give daughters.

Mr Reddy was admitted to the hospital one month back with lung problem.

He had written several books, including Pullkandi Dalit Kathalu (stories) and number of books on 'Rayalaseema.' He served in All India Radio and was a member of the Working Journalists Union.

The cremation would be held this evening.
