Plethico to acquire Natrol for $ 80.7 mln

New Delhi, Nov 19 (UNI) Plethico Pharmaceuticals Ltd today said it will acquire US based Natrol Inc, a leading manufacturer and marketer of nutritional products, for a cash purchase price of about 80.3 million dollar.

Under the terms of the effective merger agreement, all outstanding Natrol shares will be bought for a cash purchase price of 4.40 dollars per share, for an expected aggregate purchase price of about 80.7 million dollars.

''We are pleased to announce this acquisition, which will help Plethico to consolidate its position as a leading global Herbal/ Nutraceutical player,'' company's Chairman and Managing Director Shashikant A Patel said.

He said the buy-out will bring under the company's fold a truly professional entity which has a very strong presence in the US, the United Kingdom and Hong Kong.
