Open Gulf countries consulates in T'puram: GRO

Kozhikode, Nov 19 (UNI) The Gulf Returners Organisation (GRO) in Kerala today urged the Centre to take urgent steps to open consulates of the Gulf countries in the State capital Thiruvananthapuram for the benefit of people.

The GRO, in a resolution adopted at its working committee meeting here also urged Chief Minister V S Achuthandan to take up the issue with the union govenrment, a release said here today.

It said the establishment of consulates at the state capital could render better sevices to a vast section of Keralites employed in the Middle East.

Stating that air passengers at the Karippur International Airport here were facing a lot of trouble due to flight rescheduling and frequent delay, the organistion urged the government to take immediate steps in this regard.
