Jashandeep, Kiranjit shine in rhythmic gymnastics

Patiala, Nov 19 (UNI) In the ongoing All-India Inter-University Gymnastics here at Raja Bhalendra Singh Sports Complex, Jashandeep Kaur and Kiranjit Kaur of Punjabi Unversity, Patiala stole the show on the fourth day in rhythmic gymnastics.

Jashandeep with 59.75 points and Kiranjit with 56.70 points placed the Punjabi University in first position with 145.65 points.

Kurukshetra University got the second place with 127 points and Guru Nanak Dev University took the third position with 101.95 points.

In the women's section of Malkhamb competitions, organised at the Punjabi University, Patiala, Mumbai University won the gold medal with 42.20 points. Shivaji University, Kohlapur got the second position with 39.20 points and Pune University, Pune took the third position with 35.20 points.

In the men's section (Malkhamb), Mumbai and Shivaji University were tied in the first place with 42.1 points each. Pune University got the second place with 41.2 points and N M University, Jalgaon, got the third position with 39.5 points.
