Infiltrator shot dead in Ganganagar border

Jaisalmer, Nov 19 (UNI) The Border Security Force (BSF) personnel shot dead an infiltrator who was trying to sneak into the country Ganganagar sector of the India-Pakistan border this afternoon.

According to BSF sources, the intruder was trying to scale the border fencing near border Piller No 320 in Karanpur area of Ganganagar district around 1400 hrs today.

The security personnel cautioned him first but then opened fire when he ignord the warning and tried to scale the border fence.

This was fourth instance of infiltration from Pakistan in Ganganagar sector along the Indo-Pak border since the promulgation of emergency in the neighbouring nation.

While two of the infiltrators involved in these incidents have been killed by the security personnel, two others including one Afghan national, have been nabbed.
