Honeywell Technology ties up with VTU

Bangalore. Nov 20: Honeywell Technology Solutions (HTS)-India, a Corporate arm of Honeywell International Inc, is working closely with Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) for a spate of mutually beneficial initiatives.

The Honeywell Innovators Scholarship was one of HTS' collaborative programmess with VTU, aimed to support the leading innovators of tomorrow by providing outstanding students with the financial and academic resources to complete their final year of studies.

Honeywell scholarship recipients would receive a monetary award in the amount of Rs 1.5 lakh to offset tuition costs and other education related expenses.

It also offered a distinctive internship programme, which sought to mentor these same individuals through a paid summer internship at a Honeywell facility in an effort to further identify those with the greatest potential for success in a Honeywell career path. Students would be assigned to a project team under the direction of a Honeywell supervisor to participate in carefully selected projects of significance that are aligned with business unit targets.

Earlier, HTS and VTU entered into an MoU for an MTech in Avionics programme. The curriculum of this course has been tailor made to suit the needs of Honeywell employees. VTU faculty and Honeywell experts have jointly worked on framing this customised curriculum for avionics.
