Cooperative awards announced

Imphal, Nov 19: The Sagolsem Amuyaima Meitei Award for Best Meritorous (PGDBM), 2007, was conferred on Jolly, while the Kangjam Lukhoi Best Award for Meritorous (PGDCA), 2007, was bestowed on Piyainu Thounaojam here today.

The awards were given away as part of the 54th All India Cooperative Week Celebrations, 2007, from November 14-20, on the theme of ''Self Governance in Cooperatives in Manipur,'' being observed by the Institute of Cooperative Management (ICM), Imphal, and Manipur State Cooperative Union and Cooperative Department.

The awards were distributed at a function held at the ICM in Lamphelpat, Imphal.
