AR organises tour for Manipur students

Imphal, Nov 19: A 25-member student team, including ten girls, left on a tour to Delhi and Agra, as part of the 15-day integration tour, organised by the 32nd Assam Rifles (AR).

AR sources said here today that the excursion was organised to educate the children about peace and development outside the state and strengthen national integration amongst students of the insurgency-affected Imphal district.

''The trip endeavours to show the children the rich cultural diversity of the nation,'' the sources added.

The children, who left for New Delhi yesterday, will be meeting President Pratibha Patil on November 26, the sources said.
