Two boys drowned in lake

Perambalur, Nov !8 (UNI) Two boys aged 14 and 10 drowned in Valankan lake at Pudhuvettakudi village near here today.

Police said the deceased K Manikandan and K Manivel were sons of a coolie. They went to the lake for a bath. As they did not know swimming, they drowned.

On information, police and fire service personnel rushed to the spot and fished out the bodies. The bodies were sent to Government hospital at Ariyalur for post mortem.
