Stone idol recovered

Kancheepuram, Nov 18 (UNI) A stone idol of a local deity was recovered during house construction works at Vallapakkam in this district today.

The two-feet long 'Mariamman' idol was recovered during ground works for a house.

It is suspected, that the idol believed to be about 120 years old, was of a demolished temple in the locality.
