JFM successfully contributes in forest growth

Agartala, Nov 18: The Joint Forest Management in Tripura has emerged as a major support to the state's poor mass and provided an opportunity to extract the multi-purpose natural output.

After an outstanding performance in independent evolution by the state Forest Ministry, the Sadar Forest Development Agency (FDA) in West Tripura had also made an remarkable contribution in the growth of forest.

''The purpose was to make the people actively participate in the protection as well as development of the forest,'' state Forest Minister Jitendra Choudhury told UNI
