University of Kerala wins overall shield

Tirupati, Nov 16 (UNI) University of Kerala won the overall shield in the five-day Inter-University South Zone Youth Festival (UNIFESTO-2007), which ended here today on a colourful note.

University of Calicut secured the overall runner up in the fest, hosted by Sri Padmavati Mahila Viswavidyalayam and participated by 29 varsities from South India. As many as 27 events were held in the broad categories of music, dance, theatre, literary and fine arts.

Event wise, University of Madras emerged the winners in music, University of Mysore in literary, University of Calicut in fine arts and University of Kerala in dance and theatre.
