TSRDS provides medical aid to diarrohoea affected villagers

Jamshedpur, Nov 16 (UNI) Steel major Tata Steel through Tata Steel Rural Development Society (TSRDS) and Tata Steel Hospitals have successfully shouldered the social responsibilities in reaching out and treating the villagers in the wake of outbreak of diarrhoea in villages of West Singhbhum district's Noamundi and Orissa's Joda in the last 10 days.

In separate Health Camps organised in the villages,more than 300 patients were treated and numerous serious patients were treated in Tata Steel Hospitals at Noamundi and Joda respectively,the company sources said.

Some casualties in the affected village of Rengarbera under Noamundi block in West Singhbhum district of Jharkhand,created panic amongst the villagers and TSRDS was the only agency to reach the villagers in their troubled time.

In view of the helpless situation of the villagers,Tata Steel in association with TSRDS organised a Mega Health Camp at Rengarbera village on November 13 and 14 during which 241 patients were treated by the medical team,the sources added.
