School principal beaten up

Narinsghpur, MP, Nov 16 (UNI) A case has been registered against five people, including the block panchayat president, on the charge of beating up a school principal at Umaria Village in this district, police said today.

Sankul School principal Jitendra Kumar Nadonia was beaten up following allegations and counter-allegations, regarding improper arrangement during an inspection of the school, on November 14.

Sub-Divisional Officer R S Tiwari was investigating the matter.

Action against culprits gained momentum after a memorandum in this regard was submitted to the education department's 'Karmchari Sangathan.' A demand to transfer the employees present at the time of the incident, has been made.
