Public activity banned near court complexes
New Delhi, Nov 16 (UNI) The areas surrounding the various courts in the city, including the supreme court, will be made out of bounds for public activity, beginning tomorrow.
Delhi Commissioner of Police, Yudhbir Singh Dadwal has banned public gatherings in the Supreme Court, Karkardooma Court, Tis Hazari Court and Patiala Court complex, for a period of 60 days to ensure smooth functioning.
The public has been ordered not to hold any public meetings, make speeches or assemble in groups near the court complexes.
However, prior permission must be taken in case the need arise for such gatherings during this period, while processions can be carried out which have the requisite permission of the police, the order said.
