Jammu, Nov 16 (UNI) Major General A K Lal, who had been accused of 'misconduct' and 'misbehaviour' by a lady officer, is attached to the Army's XIV Corps Headquarters at Leh for further disciplinary action, an official source said.

''The Court of Inquiry (CoI) instituted to probe the allegations labeled by a Captain Neha Rawat, has submitted its report, and subsequently, Maj Gen Lal has been attached to the XIV Corps Headquarters at Leh for further disciplinary action,'' a reliable source at Army's Udhampur-based Northern Command told UNI.

Captain Rawat, a signals officer, had alleged that Maj Gen Lal, the General Officer Commanding, 3rd Infantry Division at Leh, had 'misbehaved' with her at 'a meditation session' on August 28.

Acting swiftly to the allegations, Lt Gen H S Panag, GOC-in-C Northern Command, ordered an inquiry into the matter.

Thereafter, the accused was shifted from his command at Leh to the XV 'Chinar' Corps headquarters at Srinagar to present.

However, taking a serious view of the incident, Defence Minister A K Antony had asked then Army chief Gen J J Singh to submit a report to him about the case.
