Leader of pick-pocket gang arrested

New Delhi, Nov 16 (UNI) Police have arrested the leader of a pick-pocket gang and recovered one country-made pistol and cartridges from his possession.

Police today said Jaswant Singh alias Jassu, 28, resident of Pahar Ganj, Delhi was wanted in a murder case of one Umed Singh of Anand Parbat.

He was planning another murder when he was arrested in Sector 24 of Rohini yesterday.

Jaswant took to crime at the age of 18 and became the leader of the pick-pocket gang called Raju alias Hakla of Anand Parbat.

He is involved in more than ten cases of robbery, murder, attempt to murder and arms act, police said.
