It is tough to put thoughts and experience on paper: Dev Anand

Dubai, Nov 16 (UNI) He is a living legend of Hindi cinema with many milestone movies to his credit but when it comes to putting thoughts and experience on paper, the evergreen Dev Anand feels it is not as easy as rendering dialogues in his quintessential 'sing-song' style.

Addressing mediapersons on his first visit to the city yesterday in connection with the release of his autobiography ''Romancing with Life'', the actor expressed happiness over the good response the book has received.

Appreciating the transition of Indian Cinema, Dev said, ''We have lots of good actors, directors and technicians. Indian cinema is attracting more global audience than before and I think everything is on the right track.'' Known for his movies like Guide, Kala Pani, Hum Dono and Jewel Thief, the living legend felt that there was no question of competition between Hollywood and Bollywood and there would always be an audience for good cinema.

''I feel it is a privilege to be a part of this industry where I have not only enjoyed a long career but have always learnt a lot in return,'' the Khaleej Times quoted the actor as saying.

Amazed with the development and rapid growth achieved by Dubai, he said, '' I have been hearing a lot about Dubai. But I never thought it would be wonderful like this. Definitely this is one of the best cities I have visited.'' UNI XC SG HS1449
