Former Gujarat minister Bhuva joins BSP

Ahmedabad, Nov 16 (UNI) Madhubhai Bhuva, former minister and ex-MLA from Rajula constituency in Amreli and a leader of the powerful Leuva Patel community of Saurashtra, joined the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) with his supporters here today.

Gujarat BSP General Secretary and former Gujarat Minister Nalin Bhatt told UNI that with the joining of Mr Bhuva, the chances of a third force in the state haD become a reality.

Mr Bhuva was energy minister in the erstwhile Chimanbhai Patel ministry during the BJP-Janata Dal rule.

He joined the BSP in the presence of party national secretary and Rajya Sabha MP Gandhi Azadji and Gujarat BSP leaders Rampal Singh and Surendersingh Kaloria, among others.

Later, addressing people, Mr Bhuva said the BJP has failed to deliver on its promise of good governance while the Congress too, failed as an Opposition party to do its duty.

Therefore, a third force was the need of the hour in Gujarat and ''with my joining the BSP, I would fully contribute to strengthen the third force which is now taking shape in the state''.
