CRPF jawan dies under mysterious circumstances in Kashmir

Srinagar, Nov 16 (UNI) A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) head constable died under mysterious circumstances here today.

CRPF spokesman Prabhakar Tripathy said head constable D R Wankhede was found unconscious in his room at the company headquarters of 29th battalion at Sanat Nagar here this morning.

The 45-year-old constable was immediately shifted to the Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) Soura here, where the doctors pronounced him dead, he added.

Police have initiated proceedings under section 174 CrPC in this regard.
