AJYCP welcome Commission report

Guwahati, Nov 16 (UNI) The Asom Jatiyadabadi Yuva Chatra Parishad (AJYCP) today welcomed the Justice K N Saikia report on the state sponsored extra judicial killing during the 1998-2001 AGP regime in the name of counter insurgency operation.

''The report brought out the truth and the then chief minister Prafulla Kumar Mahanta is the chief culprit,'' AJYCP adviser Dilip Patgiri told a news conference here.

Thanking the Commission, the sole surviving witness of the episode, Ananta Kalita said it could unmask the killers who comprised police and surrendered ULFA militants.

The AJYCP also demanded investigation into more cases to provide justice to the families who lost their near and dear ones in such killings.
