40 injured as bus rams into roadside tree

Robertsganj, Nov 16 (UNI) Almost 40 passengers were injured after a speeding bus dashed against a roadside tree near village Bamandeeha here.

The private bus driver, en route from Beejpur to Renukoot, lost control over the wheels in Duddhi Tehsil late last night.

The injured were rushed to a closeby primary health centre.

According to police, the incident came to light this morning, when six critically injured were referred to the district hospital.

Meanwhile, the bus driver had been arrested and sent to jail.
