Two commit suicide in Phagwara

Phagwara, Nov 15: Two people allegedly committed suicide in different incidents here last night.

A young woman, Rajni, allegedly consumed poison in her-in-laws house at Lamian mohalla last night. She was admitted in local civil hospital but could not survive. Deep depression was said to be the cause of suicide.

In another incident, a young boy, identified as Soni, committed suicide by consuming celphas tablets at Narangshahpur mohalla last night. Domestic tension was said to be the cause of suicide, police said.

Bodies of both persons were handed over to their family members after post mortem examinations. Police was investigating both the cases.
