Seven killed in road accident

Surat, Nov 14: Seven killed and ten injured in a mishap here today near the Mirkut village in Songadh.

A passenger auto-rickshaw collided with a truck which was coming from Navapur. As a result, the rickshaw carrying the 17 passengers fell into a ditch.

Five passengers in the rickshaw died on the spot and later two persons died while undergoing treatment. The injured were taken to the Surat Civil hospital.

The dead people are Arvind Gamit(45), Radha Goswami(14), Suman Vasava, Kanu Gamit, Vevalia Gamit, Pooja Goswami(25) and Bojal Gamit(3).
