Greaves Cotton launches 6 new prod at Excon 07

Bangalore November 15: Greaves Cotton Limited, one of India"s leading engineering companies and a major player in the infrastructure equipment space has launched six new products at Excon 2007,a construction equipment and technology fair.

Greaves" new products include: Perfectmix- 1000 Concrete Batching Plant with 60 cbm/hr capacity, GCM 90 Transit Mixer of 9 cbm capacity and GCP 450 D-S Concrete pump in the concreting field and 12T vibratory Soil Compactor with A/c Cabin, Heavy Tandem Roller with Cabin and Light Tandem Roller with an indigenous engine in the compaction field. These products will provide cutting edge technology to the Indian infrastructure industry.

In the recent years, Greaves has made rapid strides in the infrastructure equipment business with a wide range of world class equipment in both concreting and compaction which commands substantial share of the market.

In addition to the plant recently commissioned for Transit Mixers, greaves is further augmenting its capacity with another state-of-the-art manufacturing plant, which is likely to go on stream early 2008. This would enable the company to double its capacity in Compaction equipment as well as Concrete Pumps and Batching Plants. Moreover, Greaves is also strengthening its R&D efforts, which would facilitate introduction of new products tailored to changing customer requirements.

The new products have been designed and developed at Greaves" own R&D facilty and have unique features to suit the changing needs of the Indian Infrastructure industry. Perfectmix 1000 Concrete batching plant which has a study design, a working platform all round the Pan Mixer and has VFD for faster motion and discharge can weigh cement and water separately. Water sprinkling system has been provided in the Pan Mixer for better quality of missing.

The GCP 450 D-S Concrete pump (S Tube) has been designed in such a way that it is low on maintenance and high on performance. It is extremely efficient in pumping concrete both vertically and horizontally. The GCM 90, 9cbm Transit Mixer has been launched keeping in mind both the domestic and the international market. This futuristic product is expected to augment the export range of concreting equipment.

In the Compaction range, the Company has launched the Greaves Light Tandem Roller Model BW 120 AD-3 with indigenous Engine. The company has successfully completed the engine indigenization in all its 3 models in the compaction range.
