Dhanus gets NOC to sell global SIM cards in India

Chennai, Nov 15 (UNI) Dhanus Technologies Ltd, one of India's leading telecom service providers, has announced that they had received a no objection certificate (NOC) from the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) for sale of their International SIM Cards in India with immediate effect.

According to a company release here, these International SIM cards were expected to be launched by the end of this quarter across India and this marked a significant step for Dhanus Technologies in consolidating its presence in one of the fastest growing market segments in the country.

"The new International SIM card is expected to have a significant impact on the top and bottom lines of the company. It is the company's intent to offer this product under their V-TEL brand, which incidentally has sold more than a million cards to date.

International SIM cards were targeted at the huge mass of outbound travelling executives, the volume of which was pegged at around 8.3 million in 2006 and growing, the release added.
