Devotees witness "Navagraha Puja" in delta dists

Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu, Nov 15 (UNI) Thousands of devotees today thronged the temples in Alagudi and Thittai villages, near here, to witness the "Navagraha Puja" on the occasion of "Gurupayirchi Day" Since early morning, devotees in large number thronged the various temples at Tiruvarur and Nagappattinam in the Cauvery Delta districts and the rush of devotees was expected to continue till tomorrow.

To mark the occasion, special poojas were also performed at various temples.

The district administration and temple authorities have made elaborate security arrangements to prevent untoward incidents in the temples.

Special bus services were also operated for the benefit of the piligrims.
