Congress list for Gujarat poll on Nov 18

New Delhi, Nov 15: The Congress party will release its first list of candidates for the Gujarat Assembly elections on November 18.

AICC sources said here today that the list had almost been finalised and would be released by Congress president Sonia Gandhi on Sunday.

The Scrutiny Committee of the AICC and the Central Election Committee had several rounds of meeting separately to prepare the list.

The first list would have the entire candidates of the Congress Party for the first phase of the poll scheduled for December 11. Out of the 182 seats, elections would be held for 87 seats in the first phase.

The candidates for the second phase on December 16 would be announced by December 22, the sources added.
