Junagadh, Gujarat Nov 15 (UNI) Ahead of the Gujarat elections, the district administration here has cracked down upon anti-social elements.
As many as 4,108 anti-social elements have been taken into preventive detention since October 10, district collector Ashwini Kumar Yadav told reporters here today.
Meanwhile, Mr Yadav informed that there are 2,023 polling booths in the district out of which 465 have been identified as ''sensitive''. As many as 162 booths are ''very sensitive'' of which 107 have been identified as vulnerable.
There are ten assembly seats in the district and 17.99 lakh voters, out of whom 9.22 lakhs are males. The administration will be employing 10,316 staff for the polling duty. Counting of votes will be held at the Junagadh Agriculture Technology College, he added.
