Airlines allowed to upgrade capacity to meet winter rush
New Delhi, Nov 15 (UNI) The Civil Aviation Ministry today decided to allow airlines to increase their capacity to any level, from December 1, 2007 to January 31, 2008, in view of the increased air traffic in the winter holiday season.
''All airlines will be allowed to upgrade their aircraft to any capacity level on their existing frequencies at all airports in India, to counter the winter rush,'' a Ministry statement said.
''This dispensation will be available to the airlines from December 1, 2007 to January 31, 2008,'' it added.
