AAI pays Rs 112 cr as final dividend for 2006-07

New Delhi, Nov 15 (UNI) The Airports Authority of India (AAI) today paid Rs 112 crore to the Government as final dividend for 2006-07.

With this, the total dividend paid equals Rs 172 crore, the highest ever. The AAI had paid an interim dividend of Rs 60 crore in January.

The dividend cheque was handed over to Civial Aviation Minister Praful Patel by AAI Chairman K Ramalingam.

During 2006-07, the AAI also earned the highest ever revenue of Rs 3,726 crore with profit after tax standing at Rs 860 crore.

During the period, the Authority also incurred the highest ever capital expenditure of Rs 1,040 crore, to modernise the airports and passenger facilities across the country.
