Writer M Rasheed bags Mukundan C Menon award

Kozhikode, Nov 14 (UNI) Writer M Rasheed has been chosen for this year's Mukundan C Menon memorial award.

Instituted by the Confederation of Human Rights Organisations (CHRO), the award carrying a cash prize of Rs 10,000 and citation would be presented to him by Kerala Forest Minister Benoy Viswam at a function here on December 10, award committee chairman A Vasu told reporters here today.

The committee also decided to confer a special award on film director P T Kunhumohammead of 'Pardesi,' which highlighted the problems faced by Pakistan citizens of Indian origin residing in northern Kerala, he said.
