Wasim Akram flags off Accu-Chek Express

Mumbai, Nov 14 (UNI) Former Pakistan crickter Wasim Akram today flagged off Accu-Chek Express, a Diabetes awareness drive organised by pharmaceutical company, Roche.

As part of the ''Accu-Chek World Diabetes Week'', the Accu-Chek Express will travel through Mumbai, Delhi and Kolkata administering free diabetes check-ups.

According to a release, the event was initiated as a support to the ''Unite for Diabetes'' campaign, initiated by the United Nations as part of the World Diabetes Day to propagate awareness regarding diabetes.
