Tokyo TOPIX rises 2 percent after Wall St rally

TOKYO, Nov 14 (Reuters) The broader TOPIX index rose 2 percent on Wednesday, as investors encouraged by big overnight gains on Wall Street returned to the market to pick up financial stocks and other recently battered issues.

The broader TOPIX index was up 2.01 percent at 1,484.02 as of 0013 GMT, while the Nikkei average added 1.69 percent to 15,382.92, snapping an eight-day losing streak.
