Lucknow, Nov 14 (UNI) Alleging that the Mayawati government in Uttar Pradesh was ''misutilising'' public money, the Samajwadi Party today claimed the slogan of the ruling Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) was 'Niji Hitaye, Niji Sukhaye' (personal favour and benefit).
''Although the BSP's slogan is 'Sarvajan Sukhaye, Sarvajan Hitaye' (welfare and prosperity of all), Chief Minister Mayawati is busy misutilising the money that belongs to the common man,'' UP SP spokesperson Rajendra Chaudhray said here.
''After six months of her rule, it is crystal clear that no welfare scheme for the common man has been set in motion till now...
Ms Mayawati has only wasted money during the period,'' he charged.
''Development of parks, memorials and installation of idols by the Chief Minister was done to hoodwink the people of the state...
the reality is she is working for her own welfare and not for the welfare of the state,'' the SP leader underlined.
Expressing concern over the poor power supply in rural and urban areas, he noted it has hit the life of the people.
