Software co BEA expects Asian revenue pie to expand
MACAU, Nov 14 (Reuters) Business software maker BEA Systems expects revenue from the Asia-Pacific region to make up 25 to 30 percent of its overall turnover within two to four years, up from 17 to 20 percent now, a senior executive said on Wednesday.
BEA, which sells software that helps business computer systems communicate with each other and rivals IBM as the world's largest vendor of middleware, is banking on high double-digit growth in India and China, Steve Au Yeung, chief of BEA's Asian region, told Reuters.
BEA Chief Executive Alfred Chuang has said he expects the company to report third-quarter revenue of 8-2 million, versus a consensus estimate for 8.3 million, according to Reuters Estimates.
