NTPC conducts art competition on energy conservation

Patna, Nov 14(UNI) National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) today celebrated Children's Day by conducting a state-level painting competition on 'Energy Conservation' in Patna.

Speaking at the prize distribution ceremony, NTPC-Patna divison General Manager O P Maken said children are the future of the nation and if guided in the right earnest would mount up to the age of prosperity for the nation.

He said the competition was organised as a national campaign on ''Energy conservation-2007'' under the auspices of Union Ministry of Power.

'' The ministry has organised such events in all the states and union territories and three finalists from each states and UTs would be invited to Delhi for the grand finale on December 12,'' he informed.

Mrinal Pandey, Pankaj Kumar and Diksha Singh are the three contestants from Bihar to make it to the national capital.
