Nigerian held for carrying heroin to Delhi

Amritsar, Nov 14 (UNI) The Narcotic Cell of Punjab police arrested a Nigerian following the recovery of one kg heroin, worth Rs one crore in the international market, from his possession here today.

The Nigerian, identified as Nwabudo Chijioke Basil, was arrested near Bhandari Bridge in the city while carrying the consignment for Delhi, police said.

Presently residing at NOIDA, he acted as a courier and would get 500 dollars per trip to ferry heroin to the national capital.

A case was registered against him under the NDPS Act.
