MDMK volunteers stage demo demanding Vaiko's release

Puducherry, Nov 14 (UNI) MDMK volunteers led by Puducherry Convenor N Manimaran today staged a demonstration here to condemn the arrest of party Chief Vaiko in Tamil Nadu.

The volunteers demanded immediate release of Vaiko.

MDMK General Secretary Vaiko and Tamil National Movement leader P Nedumaran were arrested when they attempted to defy the prohibitory orders and take out a procession in Chennai on Monday to mourn the slaying of LTTE Political Wing Chief S P Thamilchelvan by the Sri Lankan Air Force.
