Indian envoy's residence in Islamabad broken into, India protests

New Delhi, Nov 14 (UNI) Miscreants broke into the residence of India's High Commissioner to Pakistan, prompting New Delhi to lodge a strong protest with Islamabad today.

The residence of Mr Satyabrata Pal, the Indian High Commissioner in Islamabad was broken into on November 12 night, the External Affairs Ministry announced here today.

''A strong protest has been lodged with the Government of Pakistan in Islamabad and with the High Commission of Pakistan in New Delhi,'' an External Affairs Ministry Spokesman here said.

However, nothing has been reported missing yet from the High Commissioner's residence.
