Contract killer of Bhati Gang arrested

New Delhi, Nov 14 (UNI) A contract killer who committed murders for the Sunder Bhati Gang has been arrested, police today said.

They said sharpshooter Jarnail Singh, 24, resident of village Bhungarni, Sirmaur district of Himachal Pardesh, was involved in seven murder cases, including a sensational murder of a woman in Sahibabad, Ghaziabad and Uttar Pradesh.

On receiving information that dreaded criminal Jarnail alias Billu Punjabi of Sunder Bhati Gang was in his native village, a team was constituted and went to search for him.

The team found that Jarnail had gone to Doiwala, Dehra Dun. On November 11, they spotted him at Doiwala and managed to subdue the suspect before he could manage to escape.

On sustained interrogation, he broke down and admitted to his involvement in nine cases of murder in which he had taken money to execute the killings.
