children's Day celebrated with enthusiasm in city

Chandigarh, Nov 14 (UNI) Children's Day, marking birthday of late Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru, was celebrated in Chandigarh with great enthusiasm today.

All schools and other children oriented institutions of the City Beautiful celebrated the Day with zeal and gusto.

A major function was held at Bal Bhawan, sector 23 here. President of Indain Council for Child Welfare, Mrs Jeans Rodrigues was the chief guest on the occasion.

Mrs Rodrigues gave prizes to the winners of the fancy dress competition on the occasion. Children presented various items including Bharatnattyam, group song, Bhangra and a combination of folk western dance.
