Arunachal to ensure equitable distribution of teachers
Itanagar, Nov 14 (UNI) The Arunachal Pradesh government has decided to revamp the education system by ensuring equitable distribution of science teachers in many defunct schools of the state.
Addressing a press conference here today, state Water Resources Minister Tako Dabi said the government had directed the state chief secretary, education secretary and director of school education to evaluate the presence of excess science and mathematics teachers so that they could be posted to those schools where teachers were short.
He informed that the government had taken serious note of the disproportionate posting of science teachers in different schools of the state, thus depriving many schools of science and mathematics teachers.
The government had also decided to ascertain the science and mathematics teachers appointed under the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA), besides finding out the number of teachers working outside the state on deputation, he said, adding that those on deputation would be brought back to augment the shortage of teachers.
