All India Postal Wrestling Championship

Chandigarh, Nov 14 (UNI) The 22nd All India Postal Wrestling Championship got under way at the Tau Devi Lal Sports Complex, Panchkula near here today.

Inaugurating the championship, Haryana Director General of Police (DGP) Ranjeev Dalal said the Indian Postal Department had played a significant role in promoting the sports by organising such competitions.

Mr Dalal said the objective of these competitions was to promote 'healthy lifestyles through sports' by encouraging everyone to make sports as a part of their lifestyles.

Mr Dalal wished success to all the 70 participants from Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Karnataka, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Orissa, Delhi and Haryana.

On the occasion, Post Master General Prithavi Rajkumar welcomed Mr Dalal and presented a memento to the Chief Guest. Director, Postal Services V C Roy was also present.
