Aegis BPO acquires TeleTech Services

Mumbai, Nov 14: Aegis BPO, an Essar Group company, today acquired TeleTech Services at USD 13 million in an all cash deal. TeleTech Services is a joint venture of TeleTech Europe and Bharti Ventures.

TeleTech's presence in the BPO segment in Indian market is expected to bring an additional revenue of USD 50 million. Moreover, TeleTech will also bring in four overseas clients to Aegis.

Announcing the acquisition here today, Aegis BPO MD and CEO Aparup Sengupta said, ''The acquisition is in line with our strategy of growing the business in India in our chosen segment.'' This is the seventh acquisition in the last two years by Aegis which has clients in different verticals of BPO industry. Aegis employs more than 14,000 people across 23 centres world-wide.
