6 senior IPS officers promoted, given new postings

Lucknow, Nov 14 (UNI) The Uttar Pradesh government tonight promoted six senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officers, besides giving them new postings.

Apart from being promoted, DIG, Railways Allahabad, Pramod Kumar Tiwari has taken over as IG (Budget), Police Headquarters, Allahabad.

DIG, Economic Offence Wing (EOW), Lucknow, J L Tripathi has been made IG of the same branch.

DIG, Special Investigation Team (SIT), M Zaved Ahmad has been promoted and made the new IG of the same branch.

However, Basti range DIG Sujanveer Singh has been promoted as IG.

Vimal Kumar Vajpayee, DIG, ACO (Lucknow) is the new IG of the same branch. Whereas, DIG, Public Grievances, Dinesh Chandra Pandey has been shifted as IG.
