Three die after consuming spurious liquor

Howrah, Nov 13 (UNI) Three persons, including one woman, died in the last 24 hours, after consuming spurious liquor in Chengail Ladlow Mill bazar under Uluberia police station.

Police said that while one died immeidately after drinking the liquor, two others fell ill. Today, they both died in two separate hospitals in Uluberia.

Post mortem is being conducted to ascertain if there was poison in the liquor consumed by the trio last night.

Police suspect that they must have indulged in heavy drinking after the Kali Puja immersions.
