Take CM's post as challenge: Vajpayee tells Yeddyurappa

New Delhi, Nov 13 (UNI) Former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee has asked Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa to take his new-found post as a challenge to convert adverse situations into opportunities.

Terming the installation of the first ever BJP-led government in south ''a happy occasion'', the former prime minister, in a statement issued yesterday, said the Chief Ministerial post ''is a vehicle for bringing about the change''.

''It is not an honour but a challenge to covert adverse situations into opportunities, serve the people and bring about development through good governance,'' Mr Vajpayee added.

He said the BJP taking over the reigns of power in south was certainly a happy occassion and the party had attained it because of ''hard work and sacrifices'' of lakhs of party workers.
