Rapist gets five years rigorous imprisonment

Darbhanga, Nov 13 (UNI) The additional district judge Devki Nandan Prasad Singh of fast track court VI today awarded five years rigorous imprisonment (RI) to one Sattan Das alias Babaji here today.

The court also slapped a fine of Rs five thousand and directed to give the amount to the victim woman. In case of failure in submitting the fine the accused will have to undergo additional imprisonment of six months.

The accused had raped a women at Tahsi village under Singhwara police station on June 30,1997.
