"Nandigram massacre unthinkable in civilised society," Advani
Nandigram, Nov 13 (UNI) Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha L K Advani today described the "bloodbath" in strife-torn Nandigram as "unthinkable" in any civilised society.
Talking to newsmen at Adhikarypara and Satengabari, the veteran BJP leader said, " During the past 55 years of my political life, I have never seen such human massacre as I have found here. This is unthinkable in any civilised society. " Mr Advani wondered that neither had the Central government nor the State Government taken note of such mass killing.
" I will raise this point for discussion in Parliament with due importance, " he iterated.
The NDA delegation included Ms Sushma Swaraj and Mr S S Ahluwalia (BJP), Mr Anant Geete (Shiv Sena), Mr Sukhbir Singh Badal (Akali Dal), Mr Sharad Yadav (Janata Dal-United), Mr B K Tripathi (Biju Janata Dal) and Mr Chandan Mitra (Independent).
Meanwhile, two landmines along with one detonator and wire and two countrymade guns were recovered from Sonachura village by the CRPF this afternoon during their flag march, DIG CRPF Alock Raj said.
UNI
